Microscopic Images

»Where the telescope ends the microscope begins, and who can say which has the wider vision?«

Victor Hugo

Each individual organism is tiny, yet, taken as a whole, this floating, drifting community delivers important ecosystem services. On my journey into theses microcosms I meet a lot of species on the way – spiralized cyanobacteria, circular diatoms, armored dinoflagellates, stacked shells, resting states and more wonders.
